The Black Minds Matter Scholarship for Texas State Students
A scholarship opportunity making therapy accessible for Black students in San Marcos.
I’m honored to offer the Black Minds Matter Scholarship for Black students at Texas State University. I know what it’s like to navigate campus life as a Black student, to carry the pressures of achievement, identity, and community while being offered only short-term support from campus resources. Sometimes what we need is a space to go deeper, for longer, with someone who understands.
As one of the very few Black clinicians in San Marcos, I don’t take this lightly. My office is within walking distance of Texas State, and my door is open for students who want a safe, ongoing place to process, grow, and heal.
The Scholarship Rate
Through this scholarship, you’ll receive:
Half-off your first five sessions ($75 per session instead of $150).
Even if you only come for those five sessions, I’ll make sure our work together gives you something meaningful to take with you. If you know from the start that you won’t be staying long, let me know—we can focus on short-term progress.Ongoing student support
If finances are still a barrier after those five sessions, you can continue at my student sliding-scale rate of $100 per weekly session. If money isn’t a concern, you’re welcome to move to my standard rate. Either way, this scholarship is here for you.
